Biography

Meet Harry Rivera

Music & Family: The answer to the question, what drives Harry to be successful in life and keep pushing the limits of his knowledge & ability.

As an adolescent Harry got his first drum set and started a garage, or really, a basement, band with his cousins. Couple that with getting introduced to good music at a young age by his Aunt Jackie, and there was nothing Harry could not accomplish, or endure, if he had good music in the background. Family and Music continued to be a recurring theme throughout his life and will continue throughout the rest of his life.

Where words fail, music speaks.

With 25 years of experience, to this day, Harry continues to drive successful projects, bring value to users through innovative products and streamline efficient processes for his team.

Beginning his career with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Harry immediately started developing software in the healthcare industry.

After writing code for several years, Harry moved into several Project Manager roles implementing new products and opening new locations at a major NYC Healthcare Institution. Harry completed his first major professional milestone by ultimately managing the team of software engineers he was once a member of, while simultaneously managing a large scale implementation project.

After 10 years of professional experience, Harry decided to go back to school to earn a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. While continuing to work full time, he enrolled in an accelerated part-time MBA program, where he attended classes on nights and weekends. Again, as long as good music was in the background, taking the subway at 10PM on a weeknight, or 9AM on a Saturday morning was no problem. Term papers, studying and other projects were also easily completed with the proper soundtrack.

Soon after his MBA, Harry held a Director of IT role at a large private medical practice with revenues of over 50 million dollars, several locations and hundreds of staff. After successfully transitioning away from this role, Harry accepted a role where he was introduced to the concepts of Agile and Scrum as a Product Manager.

Harry continues to succeed in a Product Manager role in the healthcare industry for a large practice with several hundred locations and thousands of users. Successfully bringing valuable features to market Harry continues to delight users and improve patient care. Internal team operations and process improvement is also always top of mind as he continues to improve efficiencies within and across all teams at his organization.
